Could it be?! Kenya!

When I was in high school I always held service work close to my heart. I always liked to take advantage of opportunities that allowed me to travel and help others in the same sense. I even got to go to Ecuador on an immersion trip once!  This being said, in June I’ll be taking part in what I’m expecting to be one of the most life-altering experiences imaginable, I’m going to Kenya! A program called Me to We travels all over the world to underprivileged nations in an attempt to combat poverty and enhance the lives of those less fortunate. I’ll be participating on the Me to We: Kenya trip and will be helping build either a school or clean water project for the children in the Safari. To my knowledge, I’ll be located just outside of Nairobi. This is a very different travel experience than I’m used to and I’m becoming very eager in preparation. I need to begin the pre travel requirements ASAP, I feel like I’m slacking! I won’t be taking this trip for another 4 months, but I just recently confirmed my spot on the team. It’s safe to say this may be a once in a lifetime opportunity that I just cannot pass up. Attached is the video trailer for the Kenya trip. Peace and Love!

Wanderlust

A vast majority of the world has never had an opportunity to stray far from their nation of origin, region, state, city, or even doorstep. Without hesitation I'm proud to proclaim how lucky I am that I am not a part of this majority. Whether it be through a service or scholarly program or just for the sake of it, travel has the ability to shape your life in many ways. This post is intended to introduce to you my background and experiences.
Wanderlust is defined as "a desire to travel or rove about." - This being said, my wanderlust has always been innate. Since I was young I've always wanted to go from place to place and see as much as I possibly could. When I was young I would travel to Florida to see my grandparents or head to New Jersey in the summer. Since I've graduated high school, I've been to Ecuador, Dublin, Paris, London, Rome, Brussels, Amsterdam, Seville, Tariva, Barcelona, The Canary Islands, Marrakech, and The Sahara Desert. That's excluding any traveling done inside the United States.
Needless to say I love to travel! I love to get out and see as much as I can, and take those memories and culture with me wherever I go. This blog with pertain mainly to stories from my travel, places I'm interested in going, prompts from my Multimedia Communications Class, and other interesting subjects.  Thanks for reading!
